OPTION

　optionは、「選択、取捨（choice）」。

○Practical Example

　"What options are open to you for your holiday, Mr. Yeats?"

　"I can either go to Dublin or London." 　

　「お休みに入ったら、どっち方面に行くのですか、イェーツさん？」　

　「ダブリンにもロンドンにも行けますよ」　

●Extra Point 　

　形容詞はoptional.

◎Extra Example

　"Does this Nissan model come with a car navigation system?"

　"No, Ms. Gondolla. That's optional. Do you want to include it in the purchase?" 　

　「この日産車にはカーナビは付いていますか？」　

　「いいえ、ゴンドーラさん、それはオプショナルになってしまいます。ご購入時にお付けになりますか？」

☆Extra Extra Example 　

　政治でよく使われる言い方に、次のものがある。

　"We are not ruling out any option." 　

　これは次のように言い換えても、意味は同じ。

　"All options are on　the table." 　

　どちらも「あらゆる選択肢を排除しない」という意味になる。on the tableは、「（議案など）検討用に提出されて、上程[提案]されて」。
