スリランカの日曜市 Sunday market in Sri Lnaka

明日はマーケットに行くよ！とエナに言われた。もちろんエナは行かない。スージャや他のうちの仕事をする人たちと行くのだ。
We went to Sunday market in Matale with people in the house.

いつもはスリーウィーラーで行くんだけど、今回は遊びに来たエナの甥っ子の運転手が連れて行ってくれるって。大きな高級車だ。
Usually they go there with their three whiller but this time Ena's nephew's driver took us there.

ごんごんと坂を降りていくとすぐにマータレーに出る。車を留めてみんなでぞろぞろ歩く。小道にずらりとならんだ商品、ひしめく人々。
we went down to Matale. In the market so many shops are there. So many people too.

バナナだけでもたくさんの種類があるらしい。
They have many kinds of Bananas. Almost of the vegitables are not familiar for me so I enjoied a lot to see.

　　　　　　　

天秤に分銅を載せて測る。
ほら、男の人たちはみんなこう言う布を巻いています。筒状の布を前で合わせて端をキュッとウェストに入れ込むだけ。これでよく止まっているもんだと思う。半分に折って短くも出来る。活動的なときは。
あと、これで自転車に乗ってる人もいた。

うわさのジャックフルーツだ。巨大！この大きいのを買った。３０キロくらいはあると思う。this is the Jack fruits! Huge! We bought this big one. It might be weight as 30kg.

　　　　　　　　　　　　

みんなでシャーっと買って、バーッと車に乗って次の所に移動して、サッと降りてまたばーっと買い物をする。魚屋には鰹もあった。買った魚は新聞で包んでビニール袋に入れた。スーパーマーケットにも行った。私にはそこの方が買いやすいので紅茶などお土産を買う。横にパン屋さんがあってそこでサモサみたいなのを買った。アツアツのそれを頬張りながら帰途に着く。みんなハイテンション。「買い物って楽しいね！」って言いながら。
We went to some places quick and go again and again.I bought some tea leaves at a super market. Suja bought something like samosa and we ate them in the car on the way back to home. We had a fun.It's so nice feeling!

ジャックフルーツ。持って帰ったらガレージで捌く。斧で割って外の皮を切り取る。
中身にたくさんの「ラッキョウ」みたいなのがびっしりと入っているのでそれを取るんだけど、なんだかネチョネチョしてる。そしたらそれを割って中の種を取り出す。
種は水に漬けて薄皮を取り除く。そして「ラッキョ」部分は細かく刻む。
そうして出来たカリーがこの右下のです。ちょっとねっとりとして種がナッツみたいで美味しいです。
We treated the Jack fruits. Cut around it and peeled and divide into place to eat and others. we took out the seed and peeled them.
Suja made a curry from it. It's a little bit sticky and the seed tasts like nuts , the curry is so tasty!

　　　　　　　　

ダウンに包まれて Fermentation in dawn vest

「これいらんねん。」と息子が持って来た衣類。
彼はここしばらくの急成長に伴い、今年は去年の服がすべて着られない状態だ。
幼稚園の頃からずーっと「ちっちゃい子」だったので同じ服を長い間着れたので不思議な気分。
"I don't need these ones." My son took some cloths. In thise years he is growing so well. Last year's cloths are all too small.
He was a"tiny boy" all the time in his life before, but not now.

三年寝太郎と言う話があるが、とにかくここ数年は寝ることが何よりもの最重要課題らしく日々細胞分裂に勤しんでいる。最低限の学校に行くことさえ億劫に見えるくらい。
寝るたびに伸びているのが毎日見ていてもわかる。
In Japan we have a fairy tale called "3 years Sleeping boy". Like this he sleeps very well all the time.It's the most important thing for him now.
I can see everytime when he gets up he looks bigger than before.

「あの小さいかわいい僕はどこに行ったのか？」と言ったら「もういないで！」と言われた。残念。
I asked" Where is the pretty tiny little my boy?"
He said " He's gone!" I'm so sorry. Now a big naughty boy is here.

着れるものは整理してだれかにあげようかと思うけど、これは「羽毛が出てくるからお勧めじゃない。」らしく捨てるとの事。
じゃあパンの発酵のときに使おうと、袖口や襟元や裾をミシンで縫った。
He said this down vest is not enough good to keep because of the quality.
So I sew all around it and use as a warmer for fermentation of bread.

　　　　　　　

パンの容器を入れてみたらちょうど良い。寒くなってきたのでまた湯たんぽ作戦でしか発酵できないので便利だ。コンパクトだし。ダウンを着て発酵するなんてセレブなパンだな。
It fits the dough box. It looks perfect. The dough must be comfortable in the down luxury situation.
