　it stretched the boundaries of believabilityは「信憑性の限界を広げる」ということで（ここではboundariesは複数で「限界」）、試訳のような意味になる。

　形容詞一語で表現すれば、unbelievable, improbable, implausibleだ。

　putterはゴルフの「パター」であるが、動詞putterは（副詞をともなって）「だらだら働く」「ぶらつく」「ゆっくり行く」の意味で使われる。
