　imposingは、「（大きさ・立派さで）目立つ、堂々たる」。

　"There rises the most imposing building here at Akasaka: The Kanari Tower Akasaka."

　"Oh, that’s a great building. Who lives in such an upscale apartment?" 　

　「あそこにそびえているのが、この赤坂でいちばん目立つ建物だ。かなりタワー赤坂だよ」　

　「ああ、すごいビルね。誰があんな高級マンションに住んでいるの？」

　「（人の顔などが）迫力のある、印象的な」に近い意味でも使われる。

　"Exactly. Seeing their faces, we will always be seized with fear." 　

　「あのサッカー部のメンバーは、迫力のある顔をしているとは思わないか？」
