NOT SELL, SALES ARE SLOW

　今は景気がよくない。物が売れない。

　本日のGetUpEnglishでは、「売れない」を意味する際に用いられる英語表現を学習しよう。

　以下のような言い方をする。

○Practical Example

　"Why don't his books sell?

   "Just read one of them.  You will understand then."

　「どうして彼の本は売れないのか？」

　「あの人の本を1冊読んでみたらいい。その理由がわかる」

　もう一例あげる。

　"We're thinking of pulling together all of the author’s books and publishing them as his complete collection.

  "I strongly recommend not doing that. It definitely wouldn't sell." 　

　「あの作家の本をすべてまとめて、全集として出版することを考えている」

　「絶対にやめたほうがいい。まず売れないよ」

　「売れ行きが鈍い、悪い」は、次のように表現される。
